Frequently Asked Questions
How does the run/walk work?
Companies, schools, churches, associations, other groups, or individuals form teams of six people to participate in the Run & Walk for the Arts, Athletes, and Health. You do not have to be a great athlete to participate…everyone wins when helping the community and our youth.
The designated team captain registers the team and each team member then seeks sponsors in support of the Wings Track Club by asking friends, family, and co-workers to support the community agencies and youth.
Each runner or walker is asked to obtain a minimum of $200 in sponsorship for their participation. That is only $20 from 10 friends or family members. Sponsors can visit the website to provide their support. Participants can also collect the donations and submit it prior to the event.
Runners and Walkers will enjoy a great 5k, food, drinks, event t-shirt, souvenir team photo, a chance to win prizes, free health screenings, access to financial literacy clinics, and much more.
Do I have to fundraise?
Yes. The Run and Walk for the Arts, Athletes, and Health is one of Wing Track Club’s major annual fundraising events and all participants are expected to fundraise. We ask that each participant try to reach a minimum give/raise goal of $200, but there's no need to stop there! In addition to supporting the Wings Track Club, other agencies will receive support.
How do I get a t-shirt?
All registered runners/walkers who turn in donations totaling $35 will receive a t-shirt, available December 29, 2022.

How do I get people to sponsor me?
Sample emails that can be personalized are available on our website. These emails will explain how people can sponsor you as a run/walk participant. Send one of these to potential sponsors and raise all your dollars without leaving your desk! If you want to raise even more in support of community agencies and youth:
- Ask family, friends, and co-workers for their support to reach the many agencies and youth who need our help
- Ask support for those you assisted recently (i.e. school fundraisers, magazine and popcorn sales, etc.)
- Ask support from professionals or retailers you visit frequently (i.e. your doctor, dentist, banker, cleaners, grocer, etc.)
